File manager

I am looking for a file manager for android that gives you all the information that a Windows file manager gives. I am talking about showing all the file properties like for mp3's. Artist, album, etc. What would be a good one to get? Thanks in advance.

I am sorry I forgot to mention I would like the program to be able to access my laptop over my home network wirelessly.

You'll need to turn on file sharing on your network, on the laptop, to allow that to happen. Once you have that enabled, you need to install a file manager that has LAN connectivity, such as Solid Explorer.

I installed Solid Explorer and cannot see my laptop. What am I missing? With CX File Explorer I can access my laptop but do not get the features I would like with Solid Explorer.

Open solid explorer.
Click on the upper left, 3 line hamburger area.
Click on the 3 dots middle of screen upper right.
Choose storage manager.
Choose the + button.
Choose LAN.
Let it scan your network then add your credentials

I cannot seem to get that option. I have a + sign on the bottom right but all I get is in the included picture.

Along with configuring the file manager app on your mobile device, you do need to confirm that file sharing is enabled on your laptop. Which operating system is it running? Linux, Mac, or Windows?
Also, if you have a third-party firewall running on your laptop you might also need to open a specific port that corresponds to its file sharing (often specified as to which during the set up process you need to do).
And of course, both your laptop and mobile device need to be connected to the same local network for any kind of local file sharing.
