File system root, android-pc connectivity etc

Hi guys,

my android tablet has a File Manager application but it does not show much. I have installed another application and I have access to all files. Or is it the rooting I have done?

Anyway, the point is that I can access a folder named "File system root". How can I access it from a computer?

Is it possible to assign a drive letter to my android when I connect it to a computer?

You can't access it from a computer. A lot of Android file managers will let you view the root file system but you cannot make changes to it without the device being rooted.

Well, I did root my device. I have a cheap tablet (50EUR) and I did not hesitate to do it due to the the fact that it costs almost nothing.

It's been a few weeks since I rooted it.Yesterday, I attempted to copy a folder from File System Root to Internal storage but I saw nothing on my PC. A couple of minutes ago, I connected my tablet to my PC and the copied files appeared. It seems that the PC could not refresh the folder list for some reason.

Android Debug Bridge. Requires some software on your computer (there's an FAQ about it in the FAQs section of AndroidForums) and usb debugging enabled on the phone.

It's a command line driven program.
