File to large to send via mms

I have searched for a fix but just run in circles for months now and I'm tired of it so I'm making a new thread to say; I use the textra app as my default messenger. Everything is up to date. My textra apn settings match the phones apn settings. I've set the textra settings to never have a limit on file size and yet I still can't send any pictures. If I take a screenshot of what I'm trying to send, I can do that but it's very annoying to have to take a screenshot of everything I save just so I'll be able to send it. I don't want to have to take a screenshot and delete the better quality picture every single time I want to send something, even having to crop the photos so it's just the pic and none of my phone stuff at the top and bottom of everything I send. I have AT&T as my carrier and I just got a new phone. Same problem happened with my old phone too. Please tell me the solution. Thank you.

Keep the messages to less than 300kb, that's it. MMS really is a legacy thing, from the days of flip-phones, and before large screen smart-phones and internet instant messaging.

MMS was usually OK here...

Yeh, basically the MMS specification needs to upgraded, to take into account modern smart-phones and what we might be doing with them. Although quite frankly I can't see that happening somehow, because operators are expecting you to be using things like Hangouts, Whatsapp or Wechat these days.
