Help File transfer for mac HELP

I just got the S5. love the phone

having am issue

I have a mac and I want to be able to drag and drop music and photos onto the SD card in my phone. I assumed it would just pop up as a drive when I plug it into my laptop.

it does not.

I downloaded and ran Android file transfer.

I follow the prompts but I get a pop up saying " could not connect to device try reconnecting or restarting your device.

I have tried both.

should I just use a card reader and plug the SD card into mac directly ?

I also tried using smart switch but could not import my message log or music, it just froze at 33%

any input would be great

tried dumping files onto card directly, cannot figure out how to migrate data totally new and totally confused

i dont know much about macs but to me it sounds like you might need to redo the drivers for Samsung phones...

AirDroid is the way to go....supreme file management and transfer....

You need to uninstall keis completely from your mac for file transfer to work
