File with Location Information

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a file in the Android File System that holds locations of the device..
Like (latitude, longitude) with a timestamp.

I don't think it keeps it anywhere within the system itself, I know that you can use the Google Maps app to find this information, as well as downloading a 3rd party application like this one: Latitude & Longitude

Use a GPS app, create waypoints and export they as .kml file. When you open the .kml file with a txt editor you'll get the coordinates with a timestamp :)
Waypoints as exported .gpx file or other waypoint formats should have the same info.

BTW, Google Maps and Earth are able to export waypoints as .kml files ... but only on the web based version.
