Help Files disappear from SD card?

Bought my sis the Razr. She loves it. However, tonight she lost all pictures and videos off her SD card. WTF? They were all there this morning. She was charging her phone when she took it off some of her icons were missing and ALL her pics and vids were gone. Her SD card shows that it's empty. Help!? Any ideas why this happened?

Have you made sure you checked bot internal memory AND external SD card?

If she was charging the phone with a USB cable connected to a PC and not the a/c charger it is entirely possible that the sd card and sd partition were unmounted on the phone so the PC could read the devices. If you unplug it without removing safely, the phone may not be able to completely scan the card or partition. Rebooting the phone might get the files back.

Yup. Did both. No go. How do you reboot the phone? I'll try that.

Hold down the volume down button and the power button till it kicks off then press the power button to power back up.

No need to hold down the volume key. Just hold down the Power button and it will pop up an option to power off. Then, hold down power again to boot up.

Same happened to me. I rebooted, took out battery and took it to the Verizon store. They have never seen this before. Starting to hate the Droid Razr...
