So when I connect my 6P to my pc, to transfer some files from the pc onto the phone, its shows it as connected but wont let me open the phone. Why isn't it that simple? What do I do, and keep it simple please. Thanks.

Or you can bypass the Windows driver issue if you have one and use an app called "File Manager". It works whether your rooted or un-rooted. It has an option that is clearly shown of the front page called "PC Sync" It is very fast trading files both ways and just simply works!! No need for any USB crap at all![]()

Cheers, all sorted now.Its pretty simple and straight forward through windows. The issue you are encountering is likely that android has changed USB MTP menu options. By default the option is 'USB charges only'. You need to expand your notifications and click on the usb options notification. Then select file transfer (MTP). After that you should be able to see Nexus 6p in windows file explorer and expand it to drag & drop files.
