Film playback via moboplayer

I have a strange situation which I need clarification about.

I have an HTC Desire, plus an Acer Iconia Tab A200 and like to stream films to both of them over my home wifi. My home network consists of an Ubuntu Linux 10.04 server running apache2, mt-daapd ( Firefly Media server ) and ushare, from which I stream my films / music. I have a number of films and TV shows available, mostly in DivX/Xvid AVI format. Most of these play absolutely fine when stored locally on each device and to my Xbox.

I have noticed something really strange though - any film which has a space in the title is not recognised by Moboplayer on either my Desire or A200. For example:

Serenity.avi - works fine on both devices, both locally and streaming

Aliens Resurrection.avi - works fine from local, but bombs out with the cannot open to play message in Moboplayer.

Can anyone shed any light on this ? I dont fancy having to go through and rename the 300-odd films that I have stored so that they dont have any spaces.

Thanks in advance.
