Final Fantasy VIII or VIX Card Game

I imagine you'd have to write them and ask. But there already is a version of this game that is played online, that is official. I'd be worried about them feeling I was competeing if I were to write such a game.

Whats the name of that game?
 
It's TetraMaster as well. It comes with Final Fantasy XI in the US, but is sold in Europe and Japan seperately.
 
oh hey look it's the only good part about final fantasy 8... now on the android

Not a bad start. A few items I would look at.

- Recruit someone to do better card art
- Each "monster" card should be titled, have a name
- Need to have an actual collection of cards
- Should be able to pick the cards you use before the game starts
- Upon winning or losing, the winner takes 1 card from the loser

I'm sure there are other suggestions I could have for the game, but I just started playing with it. I will post more if I think of any.
 
good suggestions, but i should probably let you know that i have nothing to do with this game. just saw this thread and thought i'd share what i found.
 
There's a program for the PSP that perfectly emulates the look and feel of the game, and I believe that the source to it is public. (It's in C++).
It's buried in the download section of qj.net somewhere, but it's there.
