Accessories Find Device Nearby

hsharma

Lurker
I am trying to build an application to discover a phone nearby, both devices should have installed the application. When I type Hi in device A this has to go to device B using sound without using third party libraries or open source libraries for this.

Sorry, "using sound"? You mean that you want the other device to be constantly listening for a particular tone or pattern of beeps or something? And you don't want to use any library, even one where you can check the source code yourself.

Just checking I understand this. I'm not an android developer so won't be able to give you a list of APIs to e.g. monitor the mic continuously in the background, and can't tell you what tools exist within the OS (if any) to analyse the signal it receives or what you'll have to write from scratch. Just wanted to be clear on what you are asking for, and what tasks specifically you are asking for information about.
