Help Find my phone app?

What is the best app I should have on my android phone to find it if it gets lost or stolen?
I tried the "Find my phone" app. But it doesnt seem very accurate and only shows me where my family are lol
Just want know i can find my phone if it is lost or stolen.

Have you tried the built in one?

You can locate a lost Android phone with Android Device Manager - it has been added to every Android phone running 2.2 or higher. For this to work it must be connected to a network and not have been wiped/reset yet.

Android Device Manager lets you locate your device on Google Maps in a browser, and you can ring your device for five minutes. You can also use it to wipe personal data, if you set it up in the Google Settings app on your device before hand.

If you turn your phone's internet or location features off then Avast's anti-theft app may be useful: that allows you to send an SMS instructing the phone to turn these features on and report its location.

I had to wipe my phone just after I had it
But checked Android Device Manager and all the boxes are ticked Will it still work?
Is there anything else?
