Help Fire TV won't go to sleep

For some reason my newly purchased Fire TV box has stopped automatically going to sleep after 30 mins of inactivity. It did after the first time I used it, but since then just defaults to a screen saver for hours on end. It's not a huge problem, as I can manually do it via settings, but I'm a bit puzzled as to why it no longer does it automatically. I'm not aware of having changed any settings.

You may have edited a setting or a repository has done it for you I say leave it cause its a pain to set up

Mine started to do this after I installed FiredTV, not sure if that was a coincidence or not. I bought a cheap airmouse on amazon that has a power button on it that puts the AFT to sleep so I just hit that button when I walk away from the TV.

i was having this problem and my unit would also restart randomly. i upgraded my cat5 ethernet cable to a cat6 and replaced the fire tv power tv. that solved both problems.
