firefox history deleted?

I sat my phone down for several hours. Came back and surfed a bit. Then found that all of my history from earlier in the day wae gone. How could this happen?
 
Did it update? Were you running a privacy filter?

I tried FX and it seemed to keep the damn history on the speed dial page even though I had checked it to clean cache, history, and cookies on exit. I totally loathe speed dials anyway.

Deleted it and went back to Lightning
