Just got the latest firmware update.

Baseband version: I9300DXLF3

Some of the updates I've seen so far:

1) Brightness tab in the Notifications screen
2) The phone stays at 100% for a couple of minutes after a full charge. Previously, once you remove the phone from the power source, it immediately says 99%.

Haven't received an update yet on my international s3.. I'm on at&t usa. But I never had an issue with battery level automatically dropping down to 99% immediately after unplugging. Would drop to 99% after 30 min though.

International

Edit, I say international but not all of them:

XX = Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom

You have to wait for Vodafone to release it. You are using vodafone branded firmware now. The one being released here is generic (unbranded). Vodafone have the unbranded one now and they are branding it, ready for release soon Im sure.

You can debrand by flashing this yourself as a full rom but Im not sure what that does to your warranty. On other devices I owned, it voided it.

ooo ok the phone i have i think is unbranded as it dont flash up vodafone when it starts but im more than likely wrong lol :)
so i just have to wait on voda then ?

Did you get it directly from vodafone? If yes, its branded - even if it doesnt look it.

If you got it from carphone warehouse though, it wouldnt be branded

Seems the home screen lag is gone too. Haven't had one since the update. Hope it stays that way.

This update also has installed Flipboard as an uninstallable app. As it is an older version of Flipboard it immediately starts asking for an update in the googleplay store. Which is rather annoying.

anyone noticed improved battery life after the update? I swear mine has improved. Charged to 100% at 12pm yesterday still at 70% at 09:48 today.

I still havn't recieved any firmware updates since buying the phone on release day, I bought a fully unlocked phone outright from a retail shop in australia. So I assume it is the international version, They also offered it on a telstra plan, but I assume they are locked phones. So mine would be the international batch correct? But then why havn't I received any updates?

Current firmware is I9300XXLE8 Android 4.0.4.

Try installing Kies and getting the update through it.

Tried that, says I'm all up to date. Makes me wonder if I don't have the international version.. But I got it on release day in a retail shop (JB HI FI) which I think mainly deals with telstra, but they are not a telstra shop. And I would think buying it outright would give me the international version. Should I contact samsung?

Hi,

I just installed the new LFB update and think I've spotted a bug im hoping somebody can test it out to see if its only my problem!

I've got a few downloaded movies with black bars (Tin Tin as an example) and for some reason when i play them now they playback strange the movie moves to the top of the screen cutting of the black bar and just leaves a huge gap at the bottom of the screen - this happens in landscape or portrait.

This is when playing them through the gallery.

Anybody got the same problem?
