Firmware update package download?

Hi, I have the Zmax 2, running on Cricket. Unfortunately, it has the B12 firmware running on it. Does anyone know of a way to upgrade it? Firmware update check on the phone shows "no update available". Other than finding someone on AT&T to borrow their SIM, is there a pkg download available anywhere (I see that there is an option to upgrade from a pkg file located on the filesystem).

I just got this phone and am using on T-Mobile. Did you ever figure out how to upgrade the firmware?
