First Bill??

OK so I'm signed up for $60 Unlim. talk, $10 Unlim. messages, $30 Unlim. web, plus $4.79 PHP insurance and $1.49 callertunes.

I've got a N1 if that matters at all.

Can someone explain to me why my first bill is $88.58????

I'm not complaining that its lower than expected, but I'm worried that they're gonna throw the full bill at me right after and am wondering if the $88 is a one time set-up charge or something.

When I upgraded to my MT3G I had to activate the data plan from the phone itself once I had received shipment of it. It could be that you didn't have that activated right away. Also, they offered to break up the cost of my phone over a 3 or 4 month period, which I declined. It could be some factor similar to those. Otherwise I don't know.
 
It just shows about $35 in charges with the phone number I got initially. And then another line with my current phone number (I changed area codes) with about $45.

There is no clear mention of what they are for.

@adamajah doesn't seem like any of these would apply to me but I'm not sure :(

Hmm. I'm afraid to call and ask because they might say "your right, we should have charged you an extra $110, don't worry we'll put it on your next bill"!
 
Bigmerf is probably correct and it's most likely partial month billing. look at the date of your billing cycle and when billing started for your current plan.
 
I went online to T-MO and you're right! It states "partial"-something for each of the charges.

I signed up around Feb. 1st and my bill was for all the way 'till March so hopefully I got lucky. I'll see on this next bill if they decide to add the rest of the month's charges on there.
