I ordered this phone for my son on Friday. Received it today (Labor day weekend slowed down delivery).
Out of the box it looks great. It doesn't feel cheap at all. The screen does tend to show finger prints though.
Since he broke his last phone, I went ahead and loaded up his SD card and logged into his Google account and downloaded all his apps.
I've played with it for a while and this is what I've observed so far.
1. The phone is pretty smooth. It handles everything with a grain of salt. I played Final Fantasy for about 20 minutes and didn't notice any drag at all. The phone seems to transition in and out of apps well.
2. The screen is actually pretty good. The colors look good and I watched a couple of YouTube videos and the display was pretty good.
3. Boost and ZTE put a lot of crap ware on this device. Facebook Instagram and messenger come preinstalled as well as the usual boost garbage apps.
4. I didn't notice any issues with it getting hot and the quick charge is great. I'm going to charge it all the way up and use it normally til it hits 30 percent tomorrow and see how long it lasts.
Both cameras are pretty solid. I took a variety of pics in different lights and I'm pretty happy with the results.
5. I had a quirky keyboard issue when I first started using it. It just started typing on its own. The swype was going crazy lol
It only happened once and since I switched to google keyboard it hasn't happened since.
6. Audio is pretty good. The speaker is on the bottom right (on back), so I'm not a fan of that.
7. Wifi connectivity is good, Bluetooth has no issues as well.
8. The stock launcher isn't bad at all but David uses Nova Prime so I worked with it for a while and it was smooth as expected.
9. Call quality was pretty good actually. I made 2 calls and received 1 call and both times their wasn't any issues. I didn't get to try out the speakerphone though.
10. It feels good in the hand. It is pretty light weight. The plastic back feels good to hold and the plastic silver ring around the phone feels like metal.
Overall it is a good phone. For a hundred bucks it is a great phone. I'll have my son give me a rundown on what he thinks when he gets home from his field trip on Friday.
Later in today or tomorrow ill post some of the pictures I took.
