Apps First program.

So, I have just graduated high school and I took Java. Will this be fairly easy for me to develop a simple first program for Android? I was thinking, you know...a simple calculator or color table utility(shows r, g, b values for color in a nice looking GUI).

Why don't you go ahead and try, and decide for yourself? It's fairly straightforward Java, and the IDE is, well, Eclipse so how hard can it be, right?

Your first stop should be the Android Developer site where you can grab the SDK, and the Guide and Reference sections should have all you need. In the Resources section you'll find a number of tutorials, amongst others a multi-part one to build a simple Notepad.
