First Smart Phone - Calendar Question

First smart phone here. I can't believe I've lived without one for so long. Maybe it's staring me in the face, but I can't seem to find the calendar. I use gmail and have the phone integrated with my google+ ID. Does this mean I have to log into the web and use the gmail calendar? I thought there would be an app I could keep on my landing page that I could just launch. ?

Like I said, it's probably sitting right there or something and I just don't see it. Thanks for any help - great forum!

there should be an icon named Calendar on your home screen already. if not you can find it on the main app screen (center button on the screen that looks like a rubiks cube) and drag it onto whatever screen you want

P.S. Your phone can sync with your Google calendar, and/or it can sync with other calendars. For example, my phone syncs with my Outlook calendar, my Google calendar, and my Facebook events.
