First Time Android User

Hello. As the title says I will be a first time Android user tomorrow. For my own Father's Day present I will buy a new touch phone and will finally get rid of my Blackberry. I will also be changing from Sprint to Tmobile.

I am looking at the following 4 phones and unless there are some amazing special the people here will choose my phone for me!

1. HTC Sensation 4g - Ive really liked this phone when I was playing around with it. Read issues about death grip and that call reception wasnt the best

2. G2X - On paper the best of the bunch....but i have read about the random reboots and screen bleeds. The people that have a working one seems to absolutely love it though

3. Samsung Galaxy S - Very nice screen. No Flash but I dont take a lot of pics so that doesnt bother me too much. Much more affordable than the others

4. Nexus S - No 4g!! Big turn off there. But once again Ive never had an real smart phone so will I really know the difference.

So posters help a noob pick his first Tmobile Android phone.

Also I am probably going to root so i can use my data for my hotspot. Are there any negatives to this?

Sensation is on back order..g2x they no longer sell it thru tmobile..called yesterday

Unless of course u find em and ur local retailer..and if that's the case..I would get either g2x or sensation

I wouldn't be..its just like any other phone..has a lil bugs here and there when they first come out..but eventually there's an update and will fix that bug or 2

the g2x will be sold once they iron out some of the issues with it. that's coming froma tmobile manager that i now work for. but i don't see how the g2x is the best on paper when you have the sensation with it's superior processor, better battery, better screen, better camera, the list goes on and on. but i must say that i really do LOVE the look of the g2x. only issue is that the bezel under the screen is almost an inch of useless space. the galaxy s 4g doesn't have a light but at the same time, it has the best picture of the 4 in low light situations. so don't let that get to you. also, i couldn't agree more about the lack of hspa+ on the nexus s. what a bummer especially since it was released after other hspa+ enabled phones. :( it's all about choise though and if you pick any of those 4, i'm sure you'll be happy.
