first time rooting

Hi whatsupp guys! Im new here. I googled how to root and i have found this page.. pretty awesome i must say. Btw i have an Htc Wildfire s with s-on. Andrion version 2.3.5 and europion make. So im gonna root my andriod with the method you guys posted here. I just wana make sure, i dont have too flash my phone with a costum rom right? Just have too unlock the bootloader? En then root it?
