Flashing global firmware on Chinese Oppo A3? (CPH1837 on PADM00)

Lurker
I have Oppo A3 (PADM00) Chinese version. The frequency Bands are not compatible with my KT (Korean) network.
However its global version (CPH1837) base-band is compatible. Can I flash CPH1837 firmware on my PADM00. Any other solution? Thanks in advance. Saqib

The PADM00 variant A3, does support standard 2G and 3G modes and frequencies, and so is usable in most countries.
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900
UMTS: 850/900/1900/2100

Do you know what this "KT (Korean) network" operates on, like is it CDMA or something that makes it incompatible? I know that some Oppos can have Chinese firmware flashed to international versions, like Find7 and R7. But the A3 I don't know at all, and doesn't seem to be much information for it online.

Does flashing CPH1837 rom will help?

So it looks like the PADM00 variant is a TD mode device for PRC only, that will really only work with China Mobile's TD-SCDMA network, and nothing else.

If it can be flashed, and more importantly the baseband changed, not a clue, probably not. Oppo shut down their international support forums a while back now, which was often a useful source for info like this.

A bit more digging about this device here. https://www.oppo.com/cn/product/a3/parameter.html

I think that "frequencycheck" website may have incorrect information about it, because according to them that A3 Chinese variant is not even compatible with networks in China(except for 2G). Which is definitely wrong.

Have you actually tried this phone in Korea with KT
, or any other Korean carrier? Because I think it should work.

I am currently using it with KT. Everything works perfectly fine, data speed is awesome but the only problem I am currently having is the voice quality. Its always fluctuating with background noise.
During voice call, the network is also changing its sign frequently bw 3G and 4G. I contacted Oppo support center and they replied like "its hardware limitation which cannot be solved through a Software".

i am also using Oppo A3 chinene ROM version. There is no problem in using the set in any GSM network. Only problem is that it does not support google. I like to change in to global version rom. Is it posible? If so, how?

Same here, can you please let me know if you find any work around it...
