Flashing my Ally to Metro, haven't gotten a straight answer yet.

Alright, I have an LG Ally I want to flash over to Metro, I want data, and as we all know Metro doesn't do that.

I used to do full flashes all the time on older devices when Metro was first gaining ground and it was easy peasy.

Now, I can't find a straight answer on how to do it, I've seen people saying the radio must be flashed, and people saying the have data on Metro with their Ally.

I called several full flash shops and they told me they can't do it, only Talk and text for the Ally.

One shop I've delt with in the past told me he can get me Talk, text, and data but no mms.

No mms is fine, I just want data and want to use the WiFi tether, so does anyone know how to acoomplish this?

I remember when it was as easy as flash the Metro firmware on the Sprint or whatever phone, have the ESN added and voila.

I want to get this working, I'm not really digging the $60 to get it flashed then take it else where to get it added to the network and activated.

Unfortunately the only shop that can give me data doesn't add ESN's...

So does anyone have a clue whether these setting for the env2 will work?

LG enV2 Wap Settings for MetroPCS - LG Cell Phones Blog

Or these?

"TO GET INTERNET WORKING,
EDIT APN -

PROXY - wap.metropcs.net
PORT - 3128
username - 10digitphonenumber@mymetropcs.com
password - metropcs

then press menu button and save"

The proxy settings and such are the same, I guess just acessing the correct area to edit may differ on the Ally.

If so the phone is going saturday to get flashed to Metro and I will set it up for wap.
