Hey guys so my ZTE Boost Max/Iconic has 4.1.2 and the 4.4.2 kitkat update was finally released. I'm already rooted and running a partitioned sd using link2sd. So I have apps linked to the sdcard and internal data still in internal memory. I have a backup on titanium of user apps, system apps, and system data. I will be using Philz recovery like CWD which its based off of but I don't know what to do or not to do with the link2sd stuff. The ZIP files with the new deodexed rom and partition are on the external sd.

Everytime I see a write up of going to a custom rom or new version just says make a backup and flash with a recovery. But I don't see anything about link2sd and partitioned sd card info. I just need to make sure what preventative steps need to be taken before I pull the trigger and what about my xposed modules. Do I need to just delete them all. If I didn't have a partitioned sd card using link2sd I wouldn't be worried.

Thanks
Josh

PS Apps like Greenify and Foxfi etc I have patched using LuckyPatcher will that data, etc still be there when I restore with titanium

This what my post above but I wasn't logged in when I made the post. But its a real person and forum member (me) that is asking the question.

Thanks
Josh

Back in the Desire days I used to swap ROMs while using an ext partition, and restoring from Ti was fine. But in those cases the a2sd script would be built into the rom rather than using Link2SD. So if I were to suggest installing Link2SD & setting up before restoring apps that would be a pure guess. A factory reset using a custom recovery will erase the ext partition, but since the links would go anyway that's actually what you want - no point having a partition full of unlinked partial apps.

As Lucky Patcher can be used as a tool for app piracy I don't know how much advice you'll get with that app (I know it has other uses). I've never used it, so can't say. I've also not used Xposed, but stuff installed as user apps is removed by the reset and stuff installed to system is removed by the rom flash, and I have no experience of whether you can restore with Ti or need to set up again.
