There are ways , but there are a lot of variables at play when considering this.
First off this criteria must be met:
1) You legally own the device being flashed and the donor device.
2) Both devices have clean MEIDs (meaning the service provider has not cancelled service to the phone for any other reason than customer request).
3) You will transfer the sticker from one device to the other to ensure that the active device has the correct MEID. A heat gun or hair dryer will make this easy.
4) You will not sell your donor phone.
Doing anything other than the four criteria above is illegal and any discussion about it will be removed.
You have to get carrier permission to unlock the device, also rooting is most often required.
If you can meet these criteria it is possible depending on the device and the carrier. There are very knowledgeable members here who can help you achieve this. My advice is to join and post up a thread for your device so you can get the help catered to your situation.
