Flashlight (torch) app., Galaxy ACE

just remember to keep that Tiny Flashlight 3.8.6 in phone memory, instead of SD memory, else that fancy widget wont work. Worth sacrificing 2 Mb of phone memory :D

Tinyflash is the best app for turning LED On when u need but it is having one issue that even if u turn the LED off, still the below sensor back button and menu button light remains on.

Even if you don't use the fancy widget it doesn't seem to be possible to move this app to sd (a shame imho)

edit:
allthough some sources mention supporting app2sd I can't seem to move it :(

Yeah. This one. After installing shows up as 'flashlight' and strangely enough couldn't find 'about' option in the app to check the dev's name !!!

yeah kinda wierd its called one thing as install file, then something else when installed. but is a good app, also lets you set orange warning lights if your car breaks down at night you just put it in the window, theres also police lights:cool:

You dont need a software to do this. Just go to settings>accessibiliity and then check the box which is termed as visual light.

Has anyone actually ran the widely recommended Tiny Flashlight + LED app on a Galaxy Ace? (Which was the original question). or yo just expect it to work there because it works on your (different model) phone?

Has anyone used the app on an Ace with the LED?

I am asking because I knew the app and have been a long-time user of it on a different phone, it's a great little app. But on the Galaxy Ace it only works through the phone screen (all fancy modes and graphical emulations work there) - NOT with the LED, unfortunately :(

The LED doesn't show at all in the list of modes / light sources. It seems the app does not recognise it and cannot manage it on the Ace. (Or the latter dos not provide apps other than the native camera with access to that LED?)

To rephrase @krobert27 's question:

Is there any flashlight / torchlight app proven to work with the LED on a Galaxy Ace?

That's really strange. I'm having the Tiny Flashlight and it works perfectly on the Ace GT-S5830. After opening the app the standard mode is Flashlight through the LED. Also when opening the different modes on my phone the LED-Flashlight icon is present.
