FM Tuner... is there an app for that?

I have the droid X and I notice that there is an FM receiver built in, which is great. Is there a way to turn the Droid X into an FM Transmitter?? That would be great if I could listen to pandora radio in my car which does not have an aux jack. Any apps for that?

Nope, as said above, having a FM radio doesn't mean it can transmit.
You need to buy a car FM transmitter with an audio input. They are available on eBay for under $10. For some reason the above URL doesn't work once the post is saved, anyways go to ebay and search for "Car FM transmitter" instead.

I use the Jabra Cruiser Bluetooth speakerphone in my car which also has a built in FM Transmitter. You can play your music and your calls through either the BT speakerphone or the fm transmitter. Otherwise there is an array of FM transmitters out there.

I highly suggest leaving an FM transmitter as an option of last resort unless sound quality is at the bottom of your priorities -- especially if you live in a larger city where the radio frequencies are packed.

I agree, however if he doesn't have an aux jack or any ability to add one it's the most feasible option for him.

yeah, FM (TRANSMITTER) is different from FM (RECEIVER). The Droid X, like the Evo has a RECEIVER. If you do live in a major Metro area, I would consider the transmitter as a last resort. A lot of cars do not have a Aux receiver input, but they do have tape cassette players. A cassette adapter would work and sounds worlds better than an FM transmitter. Trust me. My car has a CD player but no AUX receiver and no cassette player. So, for me, my option is the FM transmitter which works great when I'm on the road, driving through rural areas and Hicksville, USA, but in a major city, its not worth the hassle switching stations every 60 seconds and what not.
