Folders on the Homescreen

Ok this one is for the experts and may not be able to be done yet. I have created a Folder on the Homescreen, and now I would like to take text, .jpg, PDF, etc., and put them into the Folder. Even a shorcut will be OK. I have tried a lot of stuff, but I can't figure out where that folder is in the system, and even if it is accessible to the user. Any ideas. This could be very useful to put all of what pertains to today, so one doesn't have to open all kinds of stuff just to get to what one needs for today.

Thanks
Don

You need a file manager utility like Astro file manager first. Once you get that installed in a blank area of the homescreen long press and select shortcut. Select astro and from here locate the file you want in your folder and select it. Photos are in DCIM, pdfs in Documents. This will place the file shortcut on your homescreen. Just drag it to your folder you created. Repeat for each file you want to add.
