For those of you that use theme launchers vs TouchWiz

I played around with themes on my EVO before, but never used them. I liked Sense a lot and TouchWiz seems pretty cool, too. But I'm sure a lot of you are using theme launchers as well. I've heard a lot of good things about Nova. Anyone recommend it?

Do the launchers use extra battery? And will TouchWiz simply stop once I use a new launcher? I'm thinking about playing around with one so I need feedback on the best launchers - free OR paid. And what's the difference between Nova paid and free versions?

What does a theme launcher have that TouchWiz doesn't? And is it worth the download?

Thanks, fellas.

I have the paid version of apex, nova, launcher pro, and adw. Of the ICS required launchers I've preferred nova over apex, used both of them on my sgs2. They don't use extra battery, touchwiz is still there as more than the launcher use it, but things like menus and the notification bar are part of touchwiz. The difference in paid and free versions are just a few extra features, most I don't really use, but as a new developer I like supporting others. It includes things like difference screen change animations and I believe something with folders, but you can read what all it includes. I prefer the more stock Android look and feel over touchwiz, which isn't bad, but I've gotten use to the more stock feel from running more stock roms for the last few years

ya im running a tsf shell its pretty nice, along with factory widgets and a crap load of pimped apps that i love, i dont even remember stock but i heard it last longer then a custom rom when it comes to battery life, but after 8 hrs and having easy battery saver+ the easy task manager my battery life is only at 82, so thats pretty good for 8 hrs of inactivity, its diff if you used the music or using something that really kills your battery, but i dont really care for touchwiz i use it b/c it came with the monster 5.2 rom, but i keep it on and ignore it, but its ok, smooth. apex and nova are badass as well, launchers give your phone a better look and feel, thank god for them, im not that old fashion to stay on stock

I'm using GO Launcher and it's not bad. I might have a look at the ones above though and see which one I prefer.

Anyone else using GO and can offer a comparison to the ones above?

i have the paid versions of apex, nova, launcher pro, and adw as well like CrimsonPride - and my preference is Nova. I've bounced back and forth when I just want to change things up, but I've always come back to Nova. Personally, I just like how easy the interface is of Nova and how the menus are intuitive. My desktop isn't as cluttered as other launchers because the dock has neatly organized folders for all my most used apps.
