I have that feature on my phone also, it's in the settings where you can customize what apps you want running in the background when your screen goes into lock mode. On my phone there's a list of all the apps that I can toggle on and off after my screen locks, and there's a notification letting you know what apps were closed after the screen is unlocked. At some point the only way that was activated is that someone or yourself went into those settings and toggle an app off after the screen is locked mostly it's done to save battery usage. What kind of cell you have?

Devices may vary but go into your settings and look in notifications and it should be under your battery usage settings. Take a look at the screenshot I posted.
