Ford Sync sycs ALL audio on my S8

Hi, I just got an S8 and after putting some music on it, this morning I plugged it into the USB port in my car and it said I had to wait for indexing. After about 15 minutes, I was able to play using Sync's "Play All" command, but it plays all of the audio on my phone, which includes sounds and audio from a few games I'm playing. When it indexes, it's looking for all the audio content on my phone, which is really annoying! Isn't it supposed to index and play just what's in my Music folder?

That may be the difference between the USB and Bluetooth connection. Connecting your phone via USB probably makes it look like mass storage rather than a smartphone, so it will look for all media files in searchable folders.

Hi lunatic59, if I use USB rather than bluetooth, more play options are available to me, such as "Play Album", "Play artist", and others... I kind of like being able to tell it what to play than having it select randomly what it wants to put into the queue. My iPhone never did this, I was always able to hear only the music that was put onto it from iTunes. My Android is so different! Unfortunately I can't go back to my iPhone as I have given it to someone else.
