Help Forgot backup pin for fingerprints

Hi, I recently changed my backup pin and now I cannot remember what I changed it to. Is there any way possible that I can get back into my phone or is there any way that I can remove the photos from the phone if I have to do a hard reset?

Hello!
I believe if you enter the PIN wrong "X" amount of times, the device will ask you for your email/password to gain access to the device again.

Ah i should have mentioned the OS as well. I'm running on OS 8.0 on an LG G6 and no matter how much times i enter it wrong the timeout kept increasing. It started at 30 seconds and has now gone up to 480 seconds. At the given time i dont mind if I have to reset it but if I do I want to atleast get my pictures and videos off of it

Recovering photos from internal storage after a reset is unlikely (I assume they weren't saved to SD or the problem doesn't arise). So I'd hold off that until there really are no options.

I guess you're not using a gallery app that automatically backs stuff up (e.g. Google Photos)?

Hmm, well what about the Find My Device?

to reset your pin/password?

Although I've read that may not work if you already have a pin set.

Worth a try? Otherwise, I'm not really sure how to access your device without resetting it. That's how Google set up the newer devices for security reasons.
I've tried using Find my device to reset the pin but you are correct with it not working since I already have a password set.

Sadly I didn't use Google Photos. I used the stock Gallery app built in to the phone, I thought that the Gallery photos would have been backed up automatically just like Google Photos but I was wrong

I also don't understand why Google removed the feature where you could have recovered your phone by entering your gmail password. Now they've just made life harder for those who forgot their pin

On Google's own phones it's very hard to forget your PIN: they ask you to input it every day or two in place of your fingerprint. I guess LG don't do this?
