forwarded images always 24k

Lurker
I receive a lot of pics from someone using an android phone. If the pics are stored on the phone itself, the attachments work fine. If the android phone is forwarding an email it received from someone else, when the attachments get to me they are always 24k in size and never work. Sometimes windows won't open it, sometimes it will only show part of the picture.

The android phone is an htc desire, stock 2.1, using K9
The pics that are forwarded are coming from a variety of services.

thx

Are you receiving over 3G/WiFi or doesn't it matter? I know some networks place restrictions on how big pics sent/received can be?

Is there a setting in K9 which can be altered to allow bigger attachment sizes? In the stock mail app on my DHD, it limits email sizes to 50KB by default and you need to change this manually.

If you're asking how I"m receiving, it's on either my phone or webmail on the computer. But the problem isn't on my end, these emails with pics are also going to another person whom checks mail on outlook. Same thing there, 24k files that won't open, or partially open.

The android phone that is sending the pics is on 3G. The pics that were taken on the phone and emailed are about 2MB in size and send fine, the 24k files are being sent by various 3rd parties to the android phone, then simply forwarded to me from the phone.

I don't know about any particular settings of K9, I don't use it myself. I've found in other forums others complaining of K9 destroying attachments when forwarding also. I guess it's either a setting or bug. The owner of the phone is traveling now so I can't check it for them until they get back. They won't be able to figure out how on their own.
