Forwarded incoming calls

I'm receiving calls on my LG K4 which appear as "forwarded call" on my screen. This is not making sense to me and I hope to get clarity om it:

1) I do not have any diverts to my phone set up from any other phone or number
2) I do not have any diverts set up from my phond to any other phone or number
3) The callers are not in my comtact list and the numbers are unknown.

Does anyone know why these calls appear in tnis way?

If they are appearing on your phone as "forwarded call" that suggests someone else is forwarding to you, rather than anything you are doing.

Might it be that somebody has tried to forward calls to their phone and mistyped the number when setting that up. If the latter you should be able to find out by answering a couple of the calls: if they are after the same person that would be confirmation, and maybe one of them would be able to get the message back to said person that they've messed-up?

Just speculating here. It could be some trick to hide the number of junk callers, though in that case I'd expect other people to see this as well.
