How do I forward a thread of multiple text messages in conversation all at once.

What messaging app are you using? There are different features available depending on what you are using.

Try long-pressing the message, that should bring up a list of options. Either in the message or on the 'home' screen where the messages are listed.

edit: Also try the pull down menu in the message (3 dots/3 lines [hamburger]) if there is one. That will have options as well, or should.

Thanks. I'm using the messaging program that came with my LG Leon Android phone.

To clarify, I have a conversation of about 20 messages back and forth which I need to copy into document and then send that as an e-mail to someone. I was looking for a way to copy the entire conversation rather than go message by message back and forth from the messages to a blank document - back and forth 20 times.

I tried bringing up a clipboard by long pressing - nothing. The pull down will allow me to forward a single message - but n0t the entire conversation.

Thanks for any ideas you might have.

Eric

If your texting app lets you do a back up it will most likely be in a .xml file that you can then open with something like MS Excel. Any text editor will too but you'll also have to filter out a lot of formatting code/symbols intermixed with the actual body text. You might also want to look into backing up your texting messages using:

There's an 'operating system agnostic' xml viewer that you might find to be another option but it does require you to have the dreaded Oracle Java installed on your computer and run it as a Java applet.

Text messaging still has a lot of issues as far as being as universal and shareable as email. Still looking to see for some better options but there doesn't appear to be any quick solutions for this. The only other thing I can think of send yourself a sms from your email address then just forward all those text messages to your email. At least it's easier to edit/group them that way.

Hopefully some one will post a much simpler solution to this.

Or you could just take several screenshots of the entire message and send the pictures via email. You can arrange them to open in order anyway.

Was looking for the same thing. My daughter showed me how to screen shot then scroll down using the edit tools at the bottom of the screen shot so it takes a shot of your entire text string. When done, just use the "share" option and send it to whoever you want!
