Help FoxFi not working

FoxFi appears not to be working on the Razr Maxx HD. I'd love it if someone could prove me wrong.

Nah. It's an app that allows you to tether without root, became very popular recently.

I don't believe those still on unlimited data plans have this option available to them without an additional charge.

Not sure if using sqlite to change the entitlement check works on the Maxx HD like the previous Maxx.
I'm sure the phone gurus will have something worked out soon,,, I hope.

I tried the SQLite method and I get an error, cannot open database. There is a running thread about it on XDA here. I'll post back if someone solves my issue with a test.

EDIT: Ya beat me to it haha.

Okay so the SQLite thing works, but I'm not really sure if it fixes the tethering. I tried FoxFi and WiFi Tether and neither could be used.

I got FoxFi working on my Maxx HD, to do this all I had to do was download the FoxFi AddOn.

In case it matters, I connected with my Nexus 7.

Huh...you weren't kidding. It's that simple haha. Thanks for posting that, tested it with my Zune HD. Connects and works.

Wow...I had downloaded and installed the add on but I guess I didn't test it after doing that. Sure enough with the add on it is working. Thank you!

Okay, so I'm running 4.1 on my RAZR Maxx perfectly for months. I use it to tether xbox live. Then today out of no where it says "Service error. Failed to open database." Any help?
