Needs to be noted that while the app may or may not be a valid DNS changing app, the selling point that this thread is presenting is a bit deceptive. Yes, it claims to be able one to use different DNS services, but the implied meaning that this app is an ad-blocker itself is not appropriate.
All it can do is allow someone to use a DNS service that is focused on ad-blocking, the important part being you have to actually opt for the particular DNS servers that are ad-blocking focused, as not all of them are.

Ads blocking is not main feature of this app.
In the the past I target this app on changing DNS feature.
But some of DNS it provided can block ads system-wide well so I tell about ads blocking feature as one of highlight feature to get more attractions.
In the fact that change DNS to ads blocking servers can be best solution to reduce ads, do you think so?

To make DNS changes really needs a ROOTED device. It is difficult request and too much risk for the end user. So I had to use a virtual VPN to help the device connect itself to it to change DNS without ROOT.

DNS Smart Changer with version name dnschanger.07-07-20.V2.9 released

New version is fully compatible with Tasker.
So it is completely flexible.
You can decide what, when, where condition your DNS should change with Tasker Action. Example some case:
- When Chrome browser opened it should use Adguard DNS, but PUBG game should use CloudFlare DNS.
- Use dummy DNS to prevent some specific app connect to host.
- Adguard DNS should be use in Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 am to 11:00 am and 1:00 pm to 22:00 pm to protect my children when it play with my phone.
.... my imaging is the limit.
You can get newest v2.9 at CH Play
