Free & Addless app that makes shortcuts to folder/files on homescreen

Hi,

I just bought my first smartphone, it's a OnePlus 2. Am happy with it. However there appears to be no ability native to the OS to make a shortcut to a folder or a file somewhere on the device on the homescreen, which sucks.

Now I know there are some apps that can do this, but so far i've only found file explorer type apps with adds and/or pricetags. Does anyone know of a free one?

Total Commaner has both files and folders shortcuts. Just long press on the file/shortcut and select create link on desktop. Plus its a solid file menager without adds or anything.

Thats strange. I have never seen an add on that app, but it does say it on play store. I dont know why they did that.

Edit: There is a link at the bottom of the home page that tells you about addons for the app. Maybe they count that as an add.
