We (my brother and I) just released our first game in the Google Play Store.

Story:
In the game you are the last surviving samurai of a small village. An enemy army is attacking, so you decide to sacrifice yourself by guarding the village's gate as long as you can.

Gameplay:
We tried to keep the controls as simple as possible. You basically just touch were you want your samurai to go. While running your character is invincable and kills every enemy in his line. By killing enemies you get points, killing multiple enemies in a row will give extra points. There are five different enemy types (basically three & two with higher move speeds) and 10 waves of enemies. There is no way to actually win the game, you just play until your character dies.

Goal:
As you can't actually survive you try to get as many points as possible.

Our plans:
Your score will be send to our server, additionally we track how and where you died. No personal information is stored though, just game related stuff. We might use this to add a ranking system or something like that. Also we might add more enemy types, more attack skills and stuff like that.

We would really like to know what you think about the game.
So if you like it, let us know. If you don't like it, let us know why. ;)

Have fun, Chris.

We just released version 1.1.0 of Samurai Standoff.

The new version contains:
- A ranking system. You will now compete against players from around the world.
- A howto section where you can learn how to play the game.
- Also we redesigned parts of the menu.

Check it out. It's still free.

Played around with it and I'm impressed. Good gameplay. My suggestion for improvement would be to add a background music track. Gameplay is fun but the sound just ends up being a lot of grunts and gets repetitive. A cool Jananese style action music loop would be perfect but really any action music loop would be great.

@WaveLightGames: Sorry, I didn't answer sooner. Thanks for the five star rating. Actually there should be background music playing on the fighting screen. Maybe I turned the volume down too much in the last update.

We just released version 1.2.0 of the game. The new version improves overall performance and drastically reduces memory usage. Also we did some minor bugfixes.
