I've tried the "Call" option from gmail on my desktop and it works very, very well. The quality is better than Google Voice + Sipgate, and the latency is far less. Has anyone heard if they will be deploying this feature to Android devices?
I hope so, but I also know phone companies will bitch about it. So, yes I believe it will be built into Android but I believe it will be like tethering where it needs to be activated or you need to root to get it.
