1000's of free mp3's and apparently I'm the only one that is surprised.

Works in China as well, so not sure if its sources are entirely legal or not. Completely legal sources of copyrighted music tend to be very geo-restricted availability by country, that's the music industry.

Is this app Russian perchance?

Idk @mikedt. I can't find much on it. Showed up in SourceForge's top 10 downloads. I was hoping someone could enlighten me. Seems really odd.

It downloads album Meta-data as well. Unlike most pirated mp3's.

Would'nt doubt it's Russian though.
