Are there any good free offline maps apps for Europe including navigation features?

Yes, there are free offline maps, but with no navigation: try MapDroyd for instance.

Yes, there are offline maps with navigation, but they are not free. I do not recall the name, but I'm sure a google search will turn up something likely.
