Free Root Tethering with Note 3?

I am one of those people who still have unlimited data. I did tethering on my iphone while i was jailbreak. Now i want to get an note 3 and root it. I was wondering if ill get charged or there is a way of tethering without getting a tethering plan?

There are methods to tether in Android without a tethering plan, but the carriers can detect it if they look into your usage.
