Freeing up memory on phone

Trying to figure out how to free up room on my phone. It looks like I only have 2GB left. I transfer as much as I can to the memory card, but I'm worried that updates will start to cause sluggish performance. TIA.

On your phone go to settings>storage>used space>find out what's eating your phone storage

On your camera app, change default location to SD card.

As above and remove any apps you haven't used in a longtime, as you probably don't need them. Then install something like CCleaner which will remove temp/redundant files that aren't needed, this alone will free up 1-2gigs on a frequent basis.

Also, follow the directions in the pinned thread at the top of the forum to dump cache. That can sometimes grow very large. My wife's older Note had over 10GB in cache recently. Clearing that brought that phone back from the dead.
