Friend Stream not updating

On 31 December my Friend Stream ceased updating on my HTC Wildfire S. I have tried the suggestions in previous posts but still cannot rectify this problem. What I have noticed in - Menu, Settings, Accounts and Sync - In manage accounts Facebook and Facebook for HTC Sense are not highlighted in green (and will not let me highlight). In General Sync settings both Background date and Auto Sync are ticked. I am not aware of altering any of the settings on my phone. Anyone have any ideas?

Hello and welcome to the forum. It seems like you've actually covered off all the check-points. However, what you should do is, in Accounts and Sync - continue to tap on the accounts that aren't green until they start to sync. Also, unchecked and checked the Background Data and Auto Sync boxes. And I assume you have already clear data from the FriendStream app. If all these fail, then I don't have any other troubleshooting tips, other than to clear the data from HTC Sense (this won't reset or clear all data from your other applications). Thank you for your reply. I have tried most of your suggestions above. I have cleared all the date from Friends Stream app but I cannot see icon for HTC Sense. When checking all my apps I can only see Facebook and not Facebook for HTC Sense and when I try to download it from Market I can see a greyed out icon but cannot download it. Lots of weird things happening with my phone ie list of apps is now a long list as opposed to four in a line.
