I bought my Dell Streak during the initial pre-order. I was promised at that time that an upgrade to Froyo would be available OTA soon. Dell released the update to unlocked devices in November. Unfortunately, devices locked to AT&T have yet to receive this update. It is now the middle of February and still nothing. When contacting AT&T they do not even acknowledge that the Streak exists. Is this how AT&T normally handles their customers? Is it no wonder that thousands of Streak owners are willing to void their warranties or possibly brick their machines to flash Froyo on to their device themselves? They now have full use of the glories of Froyo uninhibited on their devices. Tethering and hot spots are their's for the asking. It seems odd to me that if AT&T wanted to limit the use of these Froyo abilities they are going about it the wrong way. By delaying the release of their handicapped version of Froyo they are forcing most people to find their own way to get the most of their machines. I truly love my Dell Streak. It is a beautiful machine and Froyo makes it one of the best machines available. Much better than any piece of Crapple! I have been a loyal customer of AT&T for about 20 years. Unfortunately, it has been harder and harder to defend that loyalty. Please, AT&T, become the phone company that I used to be proud of five years ago.
