Help FRP LOCK

I bought a cricket galaxy grand prime off of ebay and when i went in to set it up, it has a samsung lock on it. I have tried to get in touch with the person who sold it to me but no luck. Is there a way to bypass the FRP lock on the phone so i can use it? it lets me add my google account, but it is the samsung account that has it locked.

Do you need the Samsung account at all? I've never set one up on my Samsung tablet.

The fact that it lets you do anything means it isn't the FRP lock that people normally talk about, so is anything other than a Samsung account locked?

Samsung has Reactivation Lock and I believe that is what OP has .
FRP, Factory Reset Protection is provided by Google.
Both require the owner to sign in after a factory reset with the information entered at set up.

But what does it lock? If the OP can enter a Google account it sounds like the device itself is useable.

It pretty much makes the device useless if lost or stolen the same as FRP
