FTP & ES File Explorer: slow loading thumbnails

HI ALL

I have a dlink nas which contains all of my media. I am using ES file explorer to access my nas via FTP and I can access my files no problem.

The one thing that is bothing me however is the time it takes for thumbnails to load. The download and upload speed to and from the nas is fast, just thumbnail are super slow.

Any ideas on how this could be improved? I hsve tried other file browsers such as FX exployer and Solid explorer and thw thumbnails do not even load at all with these apps!

It pretty much depends on the capabilities of the FTP host. That is , CPU processing and memory management of your device. I use ES File Explorer to transfer and work with files across my devices and the transfer speed is usually about 30mb/s, although i am not sure about loading thumbnails but it is fast enough.
You did not give much details in your question,..Are you using the FTP between PC and smartphone, or is it smartphone-smartphone?
