Help FTP stopped working.

I was wondering if someone can help. I was able to connect my smartphone wirelessly to my PC using FTP but when I enter the URL in windows Explorer the connection times out and says unable to connect to server. It worked fine up to yesterday but by last night and today unable to connect my Samsung Galaxy S6 wirelessly to my PC (still using windows XP). Hope I explained this correctly. I'm using this forum for the first time as well so be gentle...lol.

I've used wireless ftp with my phone a lot - I've noticed a few things that I've had to watch out for.

Make sure that the ip address and port are the same as what is showing on the app.

Watch out for any Antivirus apps on either side trying to block access.

Make sure that the phone isn't in a weird connection cycle - connect, disconnect, connect, disconnect, etc etc. I can see that in my wifi settings when it has happened, and in my case a router reset has been enough to fix it.
