FYI Maxx supports OTG cable with SD card reader

I looked for this info and couldn't find it, so I tried it out. I used standard OTG cable from Amazon, Eyefi SD card reader, and Nexus media importer app. I was able to view photos just taken from my DSLR and share them via email. Worked like a champ.

Please pardon me of this has already been discussed, I'm just excited that it worked.

Happy OTG'n!

When you plug in an SD card using an USB OTG cable, how do you access it?
On my previous (rooted) phone, I used Stick Mount, and I could jump straight to the card in any file explorer. I haven't rooted my Maxx, so in my playing around I haven't been able to actually locate any cards that I plug in.

I haven't tried any of these products, but Astro File Manager shows some USB mount point when you browse. I'd think that Astro should work.

I just got my Meenovo micro sd reader yesterday, and I've noticed a couple oddities... When I plug it in, it gets mounted right away, and I can easily access the card's contents on Solid Explorer, but having the card mounted seems to break a number of other things- even after unmounting and removing the card, I realized that I couldn't take any pictures until I had rebooted my phone. The camera UI acted like it was taking pictures, but when I went to the gallery, nothing would show up. Likewise, if I tried to delete pictures from the camera, the gallery app would just sit there with the progress bar up, but never actually delete the pictures. And like I mentioned, this weird behavior seems to persist until I actually reboot the phone. Anyone else run into anything like this?

I also have a Meenova reader (2 actually) and use Astro for a file explorer. I haven't had any of the quirks like you have described. Maybe try Astro and see if that makes a difference?
